Canadian Blast is proud to be at SXSW 2010 (March 17th-21st) and we're bringing some of Canada's most exciting talent. This year's Canadian Blast at SXSW includes the Canadian Blast Showcase & BBQ at Brush Square, a "must" on anyone's list featuring some of Canada's hottest new artists; as well as "by invitation only" showcases at Canada House and a Canada Stand on the trade show floor with events scheduled during the week.
Partners for the SXSW Canadian Blast include the Department of Canadian Heritage, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN), Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA), The Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC), the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Province of Ontario, FACTOR, and SIRIUS Canada.
Canadian Blast at SXSW is put together with the efforts of many individuals and companies comprising the Canadian Blast Team.

 | Sirius Canada broadcasts live from SXSW festival TORONTO, March 15 /CNW/ - SIRIUS Canada, the country's leading audio entertainment company, today announced plans for its live broadcast from the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas March 17-21.
For the fifth consecutive year, SIRIUS Canada will broadcast live from SXSW. Beginning Wednesday March 17th, through to Friday March 19th, SIRIUS' CBC Radio 3 channel 86 and French language Bande à Part channel 87 will air live concerts featuring Canadian artists, in-depth interviews and breaking news. Come and visit the Canadian Blast Stand at the SXSW Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center. The stand will serve as a command post and resource centre to meet with Canadian music reps, pick up the Gig Guide, attend the Block Party, see live performances and take home some great merch.
